Marie D. Buckner, 96, of Canmer, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Amy Jo Carroll.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. CST Sunday at Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville with interment in Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer.

Visitation continues from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST Sunday at the funeral home.

BROOKS FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY – 2013
Marie D. Buckner, age 96, of Canmer, KY, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave, KY. She was a retired bookkeeper from Canmer Deposit Bank and a member of Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was the daughter of the late George Robert Suddles Dangerfield and the late Mary Alice McFelea Dangerfield. She was the wife of the late William O. Buckner. She is survived by one granddaughter, Amy Jo Carroll (Michael), Canmer, KY; a great-grandson, William Harrison Carroll, Canmer, KY; one sister, Eulah Wright, Greensburg, KY; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son; another son, Billie Joe Buckner;and daughter-in-law, Sue Clemmons Buckner; brother, Roy Otha Dangerfield; three sisters, Opal D. Vance, Catherine D. Holt and Helen D. McKinney. The family will receive friends from 1-8 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2013 and from 9 AM - 2 PM, Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 PM, Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Nolan Hensley and Bro. Barry Locke officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, KY.
