GEORGE ABLE DIES OF WRECK INJURIES

In Dec. 28 Traffic Mishap---Services Tomorrow

George N. Able of 2663 Whitman died at 2:30 p.m. yesterday at John Gaston Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident Dec. 28.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. LeRoy Culp and the Rev. Cleo Jones officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood, with Thompson Bros. Mortuary in charge.
Mr. Able was a passenger in a car driven by Thurman Parkey, son-in-law also residing at 2663 Whitman, which was struck at Parkway and Avalon by a car driven by Joseph Jarboe, 22 of 786 Dickinson. Mr. Jarboe was fined $16 in City Traffic Court for reckless driving as a result of the accident.
Mr. Able, who was 79, was born in Birdo Point, Miss., and had lived in Memphis 49 years. He was a retired nightwatchman of Chickasaw Cooperage Cooperage Co. He was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church and had served as a deacon and trustee.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Parkey; a brother, Will Able of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. J. H. Mabry of Memphis, and a grandchild.
