LOCKHART, EDWIN B. - 1927 2012 - Edwin Boyd Lockhart, 85, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton on Thursday, December 20, 2012. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Dr. Bob and Jean (Jones) Lockhart. Ed was a retired employee of Atlantic Wholesalers with over 34 years service. He was a long standing member of Central United Church and a former member of Sunny Brae Legion Branch #54. He enjoyed golfing, curling, fishing, travelling and socializing with his family and friends. Edwin will be sadly missed by his stepbrother, Bob Steeves (Phyllis) of Hillsborough; sisters-in-law, Thelma Steeves, Shirley Lewis, Louise Lowther (Wayne) and Pauline Lutes, all of Moncton; brother-in-law, Lea Lutes of Scarborough, ON and several nieces and nephews, including his special nephew, Grant Lowther. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jean Marie (Lutes) Lockhart (December 2000).
Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with no visiting hours by personal request. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1:30 pm, Rev. Ron Maund officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Edwin’s memory, donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
