Donald Keith Brown, 91, of Eufaula passed away on October 13th, 2022, at his home. Donald was born to William Watson and Jane A. (Long) Brown. He attended primary school at the Patrick School in Canadian, and Elementary School in Bower Community. He spent his teen years as an unwilling employee working on the family farm. In 1952 Donald was drafted by the US Army where he served two years in Japan. It's also where he learned to cook so well. He was recently recognized for his years of service at the annual rodeo. Upon his return he married the love of his life Linda Lou Bumgarner in Okmulgee, OK, on August 24, 1954. Donald worked in the construction trade for many years. He fondly remembered working on projects like building the dam and several bridges around the area. He later owned his own contracting company with his son. Seeing the concrete planters along main street, that they'd built, so beautifully tended to always make him proud. He also built the family home where they raised their three children Sherry, Anita and Keith, as well as nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. He was a member of the Pentecostals of Eufaula, Choctaw Nation and the local VFW. Donald also enjoyed fishing, growing vegetables in the garden and tending to the flowers. He loved life and living it, relaxing in his chair enjoying his beautiful view and spending time with friends and family.
