Anthony L. Esposito, M. D.-- Performing a highly useful service in the practice of medicine and him and Tom, Dr. Anthony L Esposito is highly esteemed for his many sided achievements.
Dr. is Esposito was born November 14, 1886, in Hammonton, New Jersey, son of Joseph and Annie (Lauria) Esposito. His father born near Naples, Italy, in 1851, came to the United States in young manhood, after the Civil War, and was a hotel owner and farmer. He worked in the hotel business in Texas, and later in St. Louis, Missouri, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, over a period of many years at his retirement he settled on a farm near Hammonton, New Jersey. He died June 14, 1906. His wife, Mrs. Annie (Lauria) Esposito, Dr. Esposito's mother, was born in 1856, and died in June 1912 they were the parents of 13 children:

2. Amelia, wife of Andrew Appel lo, of Hammonton.
3. Rose, wife of Frank Marino, of Philadelphia.

7. Mary, wife of Joseph Caldi, of Hammonton.

10. Joseph, a graduate of Philadelphia College of dentistry, class of 1924.

Dr. Anthony L. Esposito, fourth of these 13 children, attended Hammonton schools and was graduated from high school here in 1904. He then matriculated at the University of Pennsylvania, where he continued his studies for two years. He took up his professional work at Hahnemann medical college, where he was graduated in 1913 as a Dr. of medicine. After serving a one-year internship at the West Philadelphia hospital, he was made chief resident physician of that institution, so continuing for two years. Gaining invaluable experience in that hospital connection, Dr. Esposito then proceeded to Baltimore, Maryland, where for two years he conducted a general medicine practice.

During his hospital service he specialized in nose and throat work. But when he came to Hammonton, after his two years at successful practice in Baltimore, he added to his specialty a general practice of medicine. In Hammonton he operates his own private hospital. He is coroner of Atlantic County at the time of writing serving his third term, having first held this office for three years, from 1921 to 1924. He is a member of different medical associations, including the American Institute of Homeopathic, the New Jersey Homeopathic Medical Society, the West Jersey Medical Society, and the Atlantic County Medical Society. He has to his credit a decade of service as school physician of Hammonton, and is at the time of writing medical examiner for Selective Service Board No. 2, of Mays Landing. He belongs to the Kiwanis Club of Hammonton, and is affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose and the benevolent and protective order of Elks. Dr. Anthony L Esposito married July 12, 1915 at Elkton, Maryland, Myrtle Victorina Seeds, daughter of Irwin W. and Anna (Nutter) Seeds. Her father was for years a contractor in Highland Park, Pennsylvania and was in his day a generally active figure in the business world. Dr. and Mrs. Esposito became the parents of two children: 1. Joseph E, born April 18, 1919 a first lieutenant in United States Air Force, stationed in England. 2. Robert picked her, born December 18, 1922 serving in United States Army and stationed in Washington, District of Columbia.
