He was married to Nora A. Quilter Staiber. He was the beloved father of Mildred, George, Claire, Marian, Jean, Barbara, John, Michael. Grandfather to 42, Great Grandfather to 102, Great Great Grandfather to 7.
He was a tile setter by trade. At his passing each of his children discussed how he'd told them that "they were his favorite". At that moment they realized that he'd told each of his children that they were his favorite child and why. He was a wonderful husband, father, friend and gentleman.
