Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His greatest passion was his family of 7 children. Daughters Diana, Debbie, Carol, Janet, Sandra, Donna and son Robert Jr. He and his wife Eileen were married for 42 years and she was the love of his life.

He was born in Spokane Washington on January 2, 1933 where he grew up with his younger sister Hazel. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1951 and was drafted into the army in 1954 where he served for three years. Bob worked for Burlington Northern for 40 years, retiring in 1990.

His favorite weekend outing was going to garage sales. He enjoyed the search, always looking for something for one of his collections or a treasure for his family. He loved movies, especially James Bond, and the old westerns. Pinochle and Cribbage were some of his favorite card games. He was competitive making sure there was no "table talk," loved to shoot the moon and enjoyed winning, but above all cherished those special times with family and friends.

Once a year he would travel to Eastern Washington in the fall to go hunting and he also enjoyed fishing whenever he had the opportunity. He and Eileen loved ballroom dancing and were a part of a performing dance group for many years. He also took pleasure in helping Eileen with the quilting machine and would make many of the patterns. In their earlier years, they were a part of a Model A group and they had fun traveling in parades and going to swap meets.

He enjoyed working with his hands and working on projects, helping out his family often and loved being the director and supervisor. One of his dreams had always been to make a trip to Mexico and he was able to fulfill that dream in 2011 with his son-in-laws.

He was an ever present good listener and conservationist, steadfast and always there, someone you could trust and depend on. He was so loved, a blessing in our lives and will be truly missed.
