Reasons to believe that Alpheus McIntee was born in Ontario and not in Michigan (as per his death certificate:

1891 census for Moulton Twp., Haldimand Co., Ontario:
MCINTEE – Barney, Annie & children George, William, Isabella, Alpheus (age 3) & David. All listed as being born in Ontario, including the parents.

Marriage registration # 004864-06 has Alpheus Mortimer McIntee, son of Barney McIntee & Annie Hammond, marrying Eula Mae Slaght in Brantford, Ontario on Nov. 8, 1906. All were listed as being born in Ontario.

1920 Census, Honolulu, Hawaii:
McINTEE – Alpheus 33, Eulah 33, Mildred 12, Edgar 10, Fern (a son) 8, Lucy 6 (all born in Canada), and Vernon 3 2/12, born Hawaii.

1930 Census, Fremont, Santa Clara Co., CA:
MCINTEE – Alpheus 42, Eula 42, Edgar 20, Lucille 16, Vernon 13, Charles 7. Alpheus, Eula, Edgar & Lucille born in Canada, Vernon in Hawaii and Charles in Washington.

World War 1 Draft Registration Card, issued in Hawaii:
Alpheus Motimer McIntee born Aug. 24, 1888 in St. Catharines, ON, Canada

Passenger list for people aboard the S.S. Niagara, sailing from Auckland, NZ, sailing to Seattle
McIntee – Alpheus M. 34 (born Canada), Edgar W. 10 (born Canada), Vernon 3 (born USA)

A 1917 Passenger declaration:
Alpheus M. McIntee, age 34, a Canadian citizen, born Canada, wishing to immigrate to Seattle, Washington. Asked is he ever lived in Canada, he answered yes, at St. Catharines, Ontario. Asked if he had ever entered the US previously, he answered yes, at Port Huron, Michigan in 1914.

World War II draft registration card, Coquille, Oregon:
Alpheus Mortimer McIntee, age 54, born Aug. 18, 1888 in Detroit, Michigan.

So it would appear from all records, except the WW II draft card and the death certificate, the Alpheus was born in Ontario Canada, son of Barnabas “Barney” McIntee (FAG # 159909393) & Annie Laurie Hammond.
