Dennis was the 1983 Valedvictorian graduate of Topsail High School in Hampstead, NC. Soon after graduation, Dennis moved to Florida where he persued his graduate degree.
He is survived by his mother, Hilda Covil Edens; brothers, Stephen Thomas Edens (and wife, Debbie) and Darryl Grey Edens (and wife, Teresa); sisters, Yvonne Edens Hall (and husband, Robby) and Cheryl Edens Clayton (and husband, Vann); eight nieces and nephews, Suzanne Edens Wright (and husband, Andy), Rodney Thomas Edens, Robin Hall Lewis (and husband, Chris), Bryan Travis Hall (and wife, Tina), Joshua Ross Edens, Caleb Boyd Edens, Justin Ross Clayton and Zachary Paige Clayton; Christie Parker Byrd (and husband, Chris) and Bradley Parker; Stephen and Harrison Wright and Yvonne (Eve) Hall; and Ryan Lewis, Christian and Christopher Byrd. Since his passing, he has been followed in death by his father, Clifton Thomas Edens. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles Thomas Edens and Evelyn Hall Edens.
