First marriage to John Mattice 6 August 1783 at Cornwall.
Ann Eve, widow to the late John Mattice, remarried on 7 May 1815, by licence, to Jacob Wagoner of Cornwall. Ann Eve and her husband John Mattice, both born in the U.S., were on the 1784 Return of Disbanded Troops and Loyalists settled in Royal Township No. 2 (Cornwall).

Ann Eve was originally buried in the United Church Cemetery, Moulinette, Cornwall Township, Stormont County, a 'Lost Villages' Cemetery.

William Mattice was a businessman in Cornwall, was mayor in 1849 and 1860, and was elected to the Legislature in 1851. His son William D. Mattice succeeded him, also being elected to the Legislature as well as being a lawyer and the town treasurer for some years. William D. Mattice graduated from Queen's University in 1847. He died age 32 on 18 June 1861.

Gravesite Details

The Moulinette United Church Cemetery was located on the east half of Lot 31, Concession 1, Cornwall Twp., in the village of Moulinette, and was one of the oldest burying grounds on the St. Lawrence front.
