Walnut, Iowa-Walnut Telephone President,79 Dies
J. A. Schuttloffel 79 , President of Independent Telephone Companies here for over 40 years died Friday at a Council Bluffs Iowa hospital.
He was born October 24, 1876 and was a life long resident of Lincoln Township. He was a director of Iowa Independent Telephone Association and a director of the Farmers Casuality Insurance Company for 20 years.
Surviving are 3 sons, Leroy of Chicago, Ill, Elton and Robert both of Walnut: 2 daughters-Clara Scheffler of Avoca(Iowa) and Mrs Erma Claussen of San Diego,Califinoria. 2 Brothers: Emil of Larchwood(Iowa)-Roy of Walnut(Iowa)_ 2 Sisters Mrs Otto Mathews of Atlantic(Iowa) and Mrs Dolly Jorgenson of Sious Falls (South Dakota)-7 Grandchildren-2 great grandchildren-.
Funeral Services were held Monday at 2 pm at Peace Evangelical church with Rev Theodore Thomas officiating. Burial in Walnut(Iowa) Cemetery.
