He immigrated to the Portland area in 1933 and was a truck mechanic, including for Consolidated Freightways. In 1940, he married Helen May; she died in 1953. In 1960, he married Marcella Ragland; she died in 1992. In 1994, he married Lorene B.(Raymen) Simonis; she died in 2002. Survivors include one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren. Service has been held. Remembrances to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Portland.
