Betty was a Life-long member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rockwood. She was very active in her church serving as a Deacon and later on as Elder-Emeritus. She was a member of the Church choir, CWF, Fun Club, and Muscle Movers group. She taught Sunday school for 40 + years in the Children's Dept. with "Miss Ethel". She loved to visit the shut-ins and served on numerous committees of the church. She retired from the original "Rockwood Mills "of Rockwood with 45 years of service as an Office Clerk. Miss Betty was a member of the RHS Class of 1948, Rockwood B&PW Club, and Pythian Sisters Lodge. She was an Avon Lady for 25 + years in the Rockwood Area.
She was Preceded in Death by her Parents: Lee and Ruby Bane, Brothers: Curtis Eugene Bane, James Edward Bane; Several Aunts/ Uncles.

Sisters: Velma Beckner of Rockwood, Tennessee
Leona Bane of Rockwood, Tennessee
Brother: Bobby Lee Bane of Rockwood, Tennessee
Sisters-in-law: Rosemary Bane of Rockwood, Tennessee
Dorothy Bane of Rockwood, Tennessee. She also was survived by Several Nieces and Nephews; and a Host of Friends in the Rockwood Community.
Memorial and Visitation Services are as follows:
Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Tennessee
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Funeral will be at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with the Rev. Kara Foster officiating.
Interment/Concluding Services will be on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00am at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee.
