Died at the age of 58, he lived in the Lansing and vicinity nearly all his life and widely known real estate dealer, committed suicide by shooting himself. His body was found in a clump of woods near Haslett after relatives began search when Pulver had failed to put in an appearance at his home early in the afternoon. After searching his auto was found parked on the road near Pine Lake. His body was discovered in the woods about 200 feet from the road.
Failing health resulting in a nervous breakdown was attributed by relatives as the cause for Pulver's action. He became ill last winter and since then had fretted almost constantly over his failure to recover.
"I seem to have lost all my force and just can't keep mhy mind on things." he was quoted by his wife.
Pulver was manager of Hardy Brothers, real estate and insurance company. He took over this business about eight years ago after the death of his uncles, A.R. And O.D. Hardy. Before taking over the management of the company, Pulver had been connected with the concern for 15 years.
His father, Henry H. Pulver, is a former state senator, as is his half brother, Seth Q. Pulver of Owosso. The senior Pulver lives at Laingsburg. Besides his father and half brother, Pulver is survived by his widow, Mrs. Henry H. Pulver; a sister, Mrs. Charles Burwell, Laingsburg, two aunts, Jennie Northrup, Pine Lake, and Mrs. Kate Pulver, Lansing, and a daughter. Miss Marian K. Pulver, Lansing.
