Evansville Fire Victims
JOINT SERVICES SET

Joint services will be at 2 pm Wednesday for Dr. and Mrs. Paul Marling, both 62, of Evansville. They died as the result of a fire Sunday in the building used as their home and doctor's office. Services will be in the Dashner-Mathews Funeral Home, Evansville, with burial in the Evansville City Cemetery. Dr. Marling had practiced in Altona before moving to Evansville about a year ago. He was found by firemen about 1:30 pm near a door in his burning building. He was taken to St. Clement Hospital in Red Bud and died 5:40 pm of burns and shock. Mrs. Marling was found by firemen in the bedroom. Cause of the fire is unknown. Marjorie Klever Marling was born April 9, 1910, in Williamsburg, Iowa. Paul Marling was born Aug. 17, 1910, in Williamsburg, Iowa. He had been in ill health for several years. They are survived by a daugher, Mrs. Glenn Koehne of Petersburg and three grandchildren. Mrs. Marling also is survived by a brother, Floyd Klever and a sister, Ethel Kuch, both of Williamsburg, Iowa. Dr. Marling is survived by a brother, Franklin Marling of Sierra Madre, Calif. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 pm today.
