Winona Estelle Calkin Bridges was the second child and first daughter of Frank Leslie & Lula Belle Davis Calkin. She married Ralph Bridges on August 11, 1928, in Tulsa. Winona was employed by Midcontinent Petroleum from 1926 to 1939 and by the University of Tulsa from 1960 to 1973, when she retired.

At the time of her death, she was survived by a daughter, Sandra Kay & her husband, Mike; two grandchildren, Stephanie Short & husband, Kevin, and Tim Davis; a great grandson, Kyle Lee Davis; two brothers, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews. ("Estelle" was named after her father's sister, Lotta Estelle Hall, her mother'saunt, Emma Estelle Cody, and her half-cousin, Vera Estelle Propst.)
