IF Isa was born 14 Feb 1879, she would certainly have appeared on the 1880 census with the rest of her family (George W., ae. 41; Elisabeth J., ae.38; Mary E., ae.18; George W., ae.17; Samuel N., ae.15; Louiza M., ae.13; John F., ae.10; William C., ae.8; Elick F., ae.7; Marion T., ae.6; Mattie S., ae.5; Peter, ae.3; James m., ae.3 months. But she did not. IF Isa was born in 1879, she would have appeared between Peter, born 1878 and James, born 1880. Surely, whoever informed the census taker (probably her mother) would not have forgotten the youngest daughter.
By the time the 1900 census was taken (02 Jul 1900), “Icey Jane Stewart”, married 2 years, reports her birthday as “Feb 1880” and gives her age as 20. Already, she had forgotten her birth year! She could NOT have been born in Feb 1880 because her brother, James was born in 14 Jan 1880! She would not have been born a month after him!
In the 1920 census, she (written as “Jessie”) is 38 years of age (i.e. born 1882). Again, in 1930, “Isie J.” is listed as 48 years of age. I submit these 2 censuses are correct. Isa Jane “Icie” was born in 1882.

ADDENDUM: Marriage date was 27 Nov 1898. 1930 census states that she was 17 years old when she married. The 1920 census was dated January 1920, before her birthday. Her age is listed as 38 years old.
