Bruce F. Stine
1940 - 2007
Bruce F. Stine, age 66, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, in the Northwestern Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born in Ashland, Pa., July 15, 1940 son of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Tesno) Stine of Locustdale. He was an employee of Century Arms and a former employee of Swanton Packing Company. He was a keeper of homing pigeons and a member of the Champlain Valley Racing Club. He was an avid Red Sox fan and spent many hours with the sports programs of Bellows Free Academy. He was an avid whitetail deer hunter and trout fisherman.
August 21, 1976 he married Shirley Parrotte. Besides his wife of over 30 years, he is survived by his children and their spouses Bruce and Ellen Stine of Memphis, Indiana, Brock Stine of Highgate Center, Brent and Tasha Stine of Sheldon, Ralph and Amanda Stine of St. Albans, Loretta Stine of Oklahoma, Doreen McGee of Ashland, Pa., Terry Hine of Shamokin, Pa., 4 sisters Doris McGurl of Denver, Pa., Carol Jean and Albert Stehr of Pitman, Pa., Louise Lute of Ashland, Pa., Sandra and Bob Beecher of Baltimore, Md., 10 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Robert Stine, who died in active service, and his mother and father-in-law Lewis and Betty Parrotte.
Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St. St. Albans, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P. M. on Thursday. Funeral services and interment will be private, at the convenience of his family.
