Death of Dr. Mary Ellen Baldwin
Dr. Mary Ellen Baldwin, who was born near Plevna Jan. 27, 1865, a daughter of Samuel and Clementine Baldwin, died July 6 in Cushing, Okla., at the are of 72. Her home has been in the South for many years. Stricken with paralysis, she lived only two weeks. She was a graduate of the Kirksville School of Osteopathy and left the Plevna vicinity around thirty-five years ago. She leaves a daughter, Miss Blanche Hutchinson, of Duluth, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. George Washburn, of near LaBelle. Her body was brought back and placed beside those of her parents, grandparents, brothers and other relatives in the old Baldwin Cemetery west of Plevna. Services were conducted there at 3:30 o'clock last Thursday afternoon by the Rev. F. M. Branic of Shelbyville, a friend of her youth. She united with the church in early life.

DIED IN OKLAHOMA.
Mrs. Mary Spruill [sic], sister of Mrs. George Washburn, died in Oklahoma on July 6, 1937.
Mrs. Kelly [sic] was the daughter of Samuel H. and Clementine Baldwin, was born near Plevna, Knox county, on January 27, 1865, and died in Cushing, Oklahoma, aged 72 years, 5 months and 9 days. Her home had been in the south for many years. she was stricken with paralysis and lived only two weeks.
She leaves a daughter, Miss Blanch Hutchinson, of Duluth, Minnesota, and one sister, Mrs. George Washburn, living near LaBelle.
Her body was brought back and placed beside those of her parents, grandparent, brothers and other relatives, and many old friends gather at the grave where a short, yet impressive service was by Rev. Branic, of Shelbyville, a friend of her youth. Being consecrated by nature she united with the church very early in life and lived so close to her Savior through the years that her going seemed only a step.
