Mrs. Zelda Lela Hutchings, 47, wife of Walter Hutchings, died at her home at 7:30 o'clock Friday evening, Nov. 20, 1942, following|a long illness.

A daughter of the late Walter and Eliza Nichols Thomas, Mrs. Hutchings was born Oct. 26, 1896, at Eastman Corners, Ont. (now Arkona, Ontario). The family moved to Attica seven years ago.

Mrs. Hutchings was a member of a Methodist church in Canada, the Attica Rebekah Lodge and was past noble grand in 1939.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert, and a daughter, Orma, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Drake of Schenectady and Mrs. Pearley Dagg of Ottawa and two brothers, Mansal J. and James Thomas of Smith's Falls, Ont.

Services were held at 8 o'clock Sunday evening at Marley Funeral Home after which the body was taken to Auburn where services were held from the Brew Funeral Home at 3 o'clock, Monday afternoon. The Rev. Oscar J. Dietsche of St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed church officiated. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, near Auburn.
