Maj. Portfolio served in the U.S. Army in World War II, the Korean War and in Vietnam, where he narrowly escaped a hotel bombing. He and his 1st wife Ruth lived in many locations worldwide during his service, including Germany, France, Longmeadow, MA and Belmawr, NJ. They had 4 children: Donald C., Barbara, Roger and Denise. He was a neighbor in Longmeadow in the late 1950's and, when home from the service, he enjoyed nothing more than playing ball with the neighborhood kids!

PORTFOLIO, Donald N., 87, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2002. He is survived by his two sons, Donald and Roger Portfolio; two daughters, Barbara Phillips and Denise Portfolio; ten grandchildren, Christopher, Christy, Brian, Jason, Rachel, Morgan, Syama, Sarah, Rama, and Shane. He retired as a Major from the US Army after 25 years of services. He served in the Pacific during World War II, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam. He retired at Ft. Bragg, N.C. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, August 9, 2002 from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
