Robin Scott Carlson, 49, of Danbury died at his home on Monday, January 7th. He was born March 13, 1963 in New Milford, son of Russell G. and Linda (Wolter) Carlson.
Robin (Rob, Robbie) graduated from Henry Abbott Regional Technical High School, and afterward served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corp. He had his CDL license, worked as a carpenter, earned his Merchant Mariner Certification and had Homeland Security Clearance. An avid sportsman, he loved to hunt and especially to fish.
He was a beloved son, father, brother, nephew and cousin. He had friends of all ages, everywhere. He will always be remembered for his outrageous sense of fun, quick smile, and his laughing blue eyes.
In addition to his parents Russell and Linda, Robin is survived by his children, Nicholas DeMato of FL, Cassandra and Tanner Carlson of Brookfield; his brothers, Russell G. Carlson II and his wife Marianne of Ridgefield, Donald Carlson of Ridgefield and Derrick Carlson of Brookfield as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his family he also had a multitude of friends. Everyone will miss him forever as will his "buddy" Captain Jack the beautiful stray cat he adopted.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 2 PM & 5 PM on Sunday, January 13th at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. A Memorial Service will be conducted at Saint Elizabeth Seton Church on Ridgebury Road, in Ridgefield, CT on Monday, January 14th at 10AM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/, or donations may be made to Linda to help defer the cost of the service.
