She was born April 7, 1939 in East Bristol, WI to Clarence & Ruth Esther (Schoenherr) Grosenick and received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her M.A.L.S. from Valparaiso University. Clarice was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, a patron of the Arts and collector of antiques. Her many talents and industrious spirit served family, friends and community. She worked at Valparaiso Ace Hardware, the Brauer Museum of Art, and Leo's Bicycle Works with her son. As a devoted wife and mother she always provided a warm and loving home for her family. She will be fondly remembered for "Camp Gramma" which included walking to parks, making crafts and eating lots of homemade cookies.
On September 2, 1963 she married Frederick Lawrence Frey who survives along with their children; Leo (Susan) Frey of Valparaiso, Ann (Daniel) Brugos of Valparaiso, Carl (Christine) Frey of Bay Village, OH and grandchildren; Jack, Curtis & Esther Allen, Carl Frey, Eleanor, Grace, Lily, Benjamin & Luke Frey. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, December 28th, 11:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 Harrison Blvd., Fr. Joseph Pawlowski officiating with burial to follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 3 – 7 pm with Rosary Service at 6:00 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. Memorials may be made to Brauer Museum of Art, VNA Hospice of Porter County or St. Paul Catholic School.
