Frank Nicholas Ashe of Fayetteville, a retired civil service worker, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon in the Community Hospital in Lewisburg, He was 65.

The funeral was yesterday afternoon at the Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Angus and the Rev. Kelly Carter officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Ashe was a native of Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Dellrose Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II.

He was a son of the late Dominick and Mary Teresa Saintrock Ashe.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Auta Faye Wells of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kimberly Ann Ashe of Kentucky and Joan Dennise Ashe of Alabaster, Alabama; three sons, Frank N. Ashe of Auburn, Alabama, Michael C. and Steven B. Ashe, both of Alabaster, Alabama; two sisters, Mrs. Rosie Saninato of Harding, West Virginia, and Julia Killbourne of Pennsylvania; one brother, Johnnie Ashe of Harding; and ten grandchildren.
