Arthur Green Stewart, a retired farmer and carpenter of Fayetteville, died on Wednesday morning of last week in the Lincoln County Hospital following a long illness. He was 76 years old.
Services were conducted on Friday at Higgins Funeral Home with Junior Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stewart was a native of Lincoln County. He was a member of the Howell Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Mrs. Stella Patrick Stewart, Fayetteville; include three daughters, Mrs. Robert Arnold and Mrs. Roy Sawyers, both of Fayetteville, and Mrs. John O'Neal of Lewisburg; two sons, Clyde Stewart and Carl Stewart, both of Fayetteville; brother, George Stewart, Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
