DAYTON - Joint funeral service will be held in McMinnville, Monday for a woman and her son in law, both long time Dayton residents.

They are Rosetta Smith 79, who died Friday, and Ralph Gilford Abill 65, who died Wednesday. Both had been ill for some time.

The joint services will be at 2pm Monday, Sept 12, at the chapel of Macy and Son, in McMinnville with interment at the Dayton IOOF Cemetery.

Abill was born in Dayton Jan 26, 1895, the son of William F Abdill and Mary Woolworth Abdill. He lived in Dayton all his life. Recently he had farmed.

He served in the US Army during World War I. In McMinnville on Oct 10, 1921, he married Agnes Smith, who survives. He is survived also by two sons, Lyle in the Army at Frankfort, Germany and Allen, Modesto California; three daughters, Mrs. Ellen Harrelsen, Modesto California, Mrs. Alice Brewer, Monmouth and Mrs. Hazel Wilson, Mapleton, one brother, Lewis, Sherwood and three sisters, Mrs. Leta Broughton, Yakima, Washington, Mrs. Frankie Hooper, Salem and Mrs. Vila Barzeau of California.
