Caddie was a wonderful and kind person, loved by many. She was the daughter of Plea and Nancy Roundtree. On November 10, 1910 she married Joshua Carman in Collin County. To their union four children were born: Ina Mae, Wayman, Ruby, and James Leslie Carman. After Joshua's death in 1929, she married Wesley Shields around 1940.
They remained together under she passed away at the age of 63, in the City-County Hospital.
