Wade J. Kohn, 82, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on July 6, 2008, at Heartland of Waterville. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 7, 1926, to Carl and Bertha (Schmitz) Kohn. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Kohn retired in 1986 from Advance Transportation. He was a 37 year member of Fort Industry Chapter No. 391, Scottish Rite, and Zenobia Shrine. He also was a member of the American Legion Post Maumee No. 320. He lived to fish and turtle trap and he loved boats. He was a wonderful caring father who gave so much for others and touched the lives of many people. Wade is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Phyllis; daughter, Jeanne (Tom) Kelsey; son, Wade L. (Tamela); brother, Fred (Marge); grandsons, Wade (Kathy) Kohn, Tim (Cristy) Erard, Mark Kohn, Ken (Stacey) Erard, and Michael Kohn (Jodi); 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Michael; brothers, Lester, Bud, and Tom VanCamp, and Carl Kohn, and granddaughter, Rebecca Kohn.
