Born Aug. 30, 1918, in Mifflintown, she was the daughter of the late Wadsworth and Lela (Sheriff) Beward.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Clyde Bailey, on Dec. 16, 1999.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Lee Mann and husband, Edward, of Reedsville, and Paula Walter and husband, Owen, of York; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen Smith, of Mifflintown, and Ernestine Challenger, of Reedsville.
She was a 1936 graduate of Mifflintown High School.
She was a cafeteria worker for the Mifflin County School District at Kish High School for 22 years, retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the Reedsville Lutheran Church, Ladies of the Eastern Star 283, Elks Auxiliary, Knights Templer Auxiliary, 20th Century Club, and a life member of the Lewistown Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a volunteer at the Ohesson Manor for over 20 years.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Reedsville Lutheran Church, East Logan and Pearl streets, Reedsville, PA 17084.
