Mother to James Patrick and Margaret Anne∼Leila June Carrick, 78, of Albany died Aug. 27 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Los Angeles to Dan A. and Vera Barry. She moved to the Brewster area in 1944 and attended Lebanon and Albany high schools, graduating from Albany Union High School in 1947.
She married John A. "Jack" Carrick on May 8, 1954, in Albany.
She was very active at Faith Lutheran Church, where she was a member.
She was an accomplished cook and an interior designer.
Leila is survived by her son, James Patrick of Albany; daughters Margaret Anne Arendt and husband Daniel of Wadsworth, Ill., and Amy Katherine Carrick of Albany; and brothers Dan Lloyd Barry of Grants Pass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband in 1983.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 25 at Faith Lutheran Church.
