BARRE - Lorraine Marie Abbiati, 87, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at her home.
Born May 26, 1925, in Quechee, she was the daughter of Orville and Alice (Legacy) Fordham and she attended Quechee and Berlin schools.
She was first married to Joseph Beauchemin; they later divorced. Later, she married Raymond York who predeceased her and Lawrence Andrew Abbiati, who died in 2007.
Mrs. Abbiati was a homemaker and also worked in housekeeping at Columns Motor Lodge in Sharon and as a waitress in earlier years.
She attended First Congregational Church in Berlin in her youth.
She enjoyed reading and singing.
Survivors include three children, Joseph Beauchemin, Jeanette "Jean" Laquerre, both of Brookfield, and Linda York of Barre; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Billy York of Barre.
Mrs. Abbiati was also predeceased by six brothers.
Per her wishes, there are no services planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice .
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home in Barre.
