Paul David Homburg,II, 54, Logansport went to be with the Lord at 5:30 a.m. Friday, December 28 at his residence. Born October 20, 1958 in Logansport, he was the son of Paul D. and Ethel F. Leazenby Homburg. His mother survives. He was married in Logansport on August 12, 1978 to Sandy S. "Sandy" Rose, who survives.
Paul was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as Church Council Vice President. He also served on the Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Department. First and foremost he was a self-employed farmer with a deep love for his family, especially the grandchildren.
In addition to his mother and wife, Paul is survived by a son, Paul D. (Kristi) Homburg III, a daughter, Kelly Ann (Joshua) Smith and a sister, Darla (Ron)Hayden, all of Logansport. Three granchildren also survive, Graci Lynn Homburg, Johnthan Paul Homburg and Jordan Daniel Smith, as well as neices and nephews, Andy and Ronnie Hayden and families and April, Adam and Andy Baer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul D. Homburg in 1977. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry DeVos officiating. Burial will be in Shideler Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kroeger Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Trinity Lutheran Church Council Service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday at Kroeger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Hope Hospice or the Clinton Township Volunteer Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
