Daughter of the late Laura Lindner and William H. Harris. Wife of the late Henry J. Miller (1983). Sister of the late William (Billy) Hurt Harris (1991). Laura was born in Jacksonville, FL. but spent her early years in Savannah, GA., graduating from High School there. She attended the University of Tampa and later joined the U.S. Navy as a Wave during World War II. After the war she moved to Jacksonville where she met and married the love of her life, Henry. They had many wonderful years together, enjoying their home and traveling. After the death of her husband in 1983, Laura continued her love of world travel with best friends Norma and Harry Mitchell and Margaret and Fred Sears. She retired from Travelers Insurance Bond Dept. in 1982 after 25 years of faithful service and then spent many years as a volunteer in Memorial Hospital's gift shop.
