Adria Baker Pinkerton 72, passed away Oct. 18, 1978 at Medical Center Hospital after a six-month illness. Adria lived at 3745 Dumont, Odessa, Texas.

Services will be Friday at 4 P.M. at First United Methodist Church with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Born in Lebanon, Arkansas, February 6, 1906, she lived in Monahans for 36 years prior to Odessa in April 1976. While a resident of Monahans, she was named Woman of the Year by Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Since coming to Odessa, Adria Pinkerton was active in First United Methodist Church and served as chairman of the Mary Circle in United Methodist Women. She was also a member and officer of the Pioneer Study Club and the Republican Women.

She was married to John Louis Pinkerton, June 21, 1934, in Lubbock, Texas.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Lura Jo Pinkerton Sivalls of 4215 Springbrook, two sister, Mrs. Russell Wimberley and Mrs. Roger Orr, both of Lubbock, Texas, three brothers, Clois Baker of Little Rock, Arkansas, Alva Baker of Shattuck, Oklahoma, and Ted Baker of Sun City, Arizona, and two grandchildren, Stephanie and Tracy Sivalls, of Odessa, Texas.
