Mrs. Edith Wynkoop Aldous, 44, died Tuesday, November 24, in her residence at 184 South Fifth Avenue. She had been ill for sometime.
Mrs. Aldous was born on March 18, 1916, in Rimersburg, the daughter of William D. Wynkoop and Gertrude Summers Wynkoop. She was married to Meade Aldous.
Mrs. Aldous was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leeper.
She is survived by four children, Mrs. Barbara Kline, Clarion RD 2; Mrs. Kay Curll, Clarion; Airman Second Class Benny O. Aldous, Lockbourne AFB, Ohio; and Donna Sue at home; six grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Gertrude Wynkoop, Tylerburg, and the following brothers and sisters: Fenton Wyncoop, Clarion; Mrs. Ethel Wishart, Hunstville, Ala; Mrs. Margaret Nelson, Apollo; Donald Wynkoop, Oil City; William and James Wynkoop, Clarion; Mrs. Ruth Burford, Oak Ridge; Gerald and Dale Wynkoop of Tylersburg. Her father, William D. Wynkoop preceded her in death a few weeks ago.
Services will be held Friday, afternoon, at 2:30 p.m. in the Leeper Methodist Church with the Rev. Farrel Evans officiating. Kier Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
