Grandson of John William Parker (born in Brackley, Northamptonshire, England) and Mary E. Ogilvie Allan Parker (born in Aberdeen, Scotland), both of Woodstock, Oxford, Ontario, Canada; and of Frank S. Rockwell (born in Pontiac, Michigan) and Sarah Jane Woolley Rockwell (born in North Yorkshire, England);

Half-Brother of Marion Joan Parker and Frank David Parker;
Step-Brother of Dorothea Anderson.

Husband of Marion Alma Leeper, whom he married on 10 June 1938 in Michigan.

Norman and Marion are the proud parents of a daughter and proud Grandparents of three grandchildren.

He received a Degree in Engineering in 1943 and worked in his Father's company, Parker Majestics. (Norman worked his way up through the Company and became President of Parker Majestics upon his Father's retirement.)

On 28 March 1944 Norman enlisted in the United States Navy and served until 16 April 1946.

Norman and Marion were actively involved in their church and their community and he was a member of many organizations.

Norman retired in 1981 and lived the remainder of his years with wife Marion in Lexington, Michigan.

Norman Leroy Parker passed away on 22 May 1987.

He is lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
Norm was a F.C.C. licensed Amateur Radio (HAM) Operator with call W8NKK.

LEXINGTON – Norman L. Parker, 70, 5493 Dallas, died Friday, May 22,1987, in Detroit.
He was brn July 24,1916, in Royal Oak. He married Marion A. Leeper June 10, 1938, in Detroit.
Mr. Parker was an engineer and president of Parker Majestic Inc., Detroit, retiring in 1981. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He moved to Lexington in 1972 from Grosse Pointe Park. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Lexington.
He was a member of F & AM Union Lodge 3, Moslem , Shrine, Engineering Society of Detroit, and the University Club of Detroit. He graduated in 1943 from Lawrence Institute of Technology with a degree in electrical engineering.
Mr. Parker was a member of the Lexington Building Authority.
He is survived by his wife; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon A. and Charles E. Skinner of Midland; two sisters, Dorothea Squiers and Marion Maurer, both of Grosse Point Park; and three grandchildren, Elaine, Michael and Caroline.
Services were held Saturday in the Trinity Episcopal Church, Lexington. The Rev. Richard Ingalls, pastor of Old Mariners Church, Detroit, officiated.
Burial was in the Lexington Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or charity of the donor's choice.
