Adrian Burk was born in 1927 in Mexia. His family moved to Joinerville Texas. He played football at Gaston High School, and Kilgore Junior College then Baylor University. He was drafted by the Baltimore Colts in 1950, second pick of the first round. He joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 1951. he is 1 of 5 quarterbacks to throw 7 touchdown passes in a game. after retiring from playing in 1956 he became an NFL official. he was the back judge in the game which saw the Immaculate Reception. Mr. Burk retired in 1998 and passed away in his hometown of Henderson, Texas in 2003.
