Catherine Theresa Prader was the daughter of Catalino Ortiza Abear and Florence Henning.

Kay is survived by her four children, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, brother Manuel, and grandson Amos Poole.
