Barbara was born Feb. 17, 1920, at Eureka, Illinois, a daughter of Phillip R. and Mayme L. Rupple Heston.
Survivors include two sisters, Catherine L. Pline, Lyons, Mich., and Nellie M. Brunson, Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
She was a member of the Eureka Presbyterian Church and the Beta Sigma Phi women's sorority. She was employed at the Libby Canning Factory in Eureka and later worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Eureka for more than 40 years.
