Christine Hendrix Woody, 88, of School House Branch Road, passed away Saturday December 29, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Woody was born September 28, 1924 in Buncombe County to the late Faith Hendrix and the late Sally Pursley Hendrix Evans. She resided most of her life in Haywood County and was a devoted member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church. Christine loved the Lord and her faith played an important role in her life. She was a talented seamstress and her beautiful hand-crocheted items were admired by many. Christine was truly a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and she has touched many lives with her kindness and loving heart.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 68 years, a son, two daughters,six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a brother.
The Woody family would like to extend a special thank you to Jessie O'Neil who is loved like a family member and gave such special care and compassion to Christine.
The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
