William Ames "Pops" Lowrance age 71 died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park FL. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. David Strain officiating.

Mr. Lowrance was born June 20, 1941 in Columbus, MS to the late William B. Lowrance and Mildred A. Lowrance. Mr. Lowrance's father was a long time engineer, land surveyor and a lifetime member of the Main Street Presbyterian Church.

Mr. William Ames Lowrance was a resident of Norco, La since 1974. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and a member of the Alumni Association. He retired from Entergy Corporation in 1999 after 25 years of loyal service. He truly loved his work, his garden and most importantly "HELPING OTHERS". In his last years, "POPS" enjoyed writing books, watching old sitcoms and spending precious time with his family and friends.

Two Sons: Thomas Lowrance (Crystal). Jacksonville, FL Carlos Joseph Nicholas (Grace), LaPlace, LA

One Sister: Elizabeth Lockard Berry (Tommy), Argyle, TX

Grandchildren Cody, Jade, Noah, Gaibrielle, Parker Brayden, and Mason

The Pallbearers will be: Thomas Lowrance, Carlos Nicholas, Bryan Ellis, Kevin Brand, Chris Roussel, Glenn Berry, Alan Berry, and Tommy Berry
