Freeda Marie (Pendley) Blaylock, 88, of Duncan, OK passed away January 15, 2013, while residing in Meridian Nursing Home at Comanche, OK.

Freeda was born in Holdenville, Ok. on Christmas day 1924 to Thomas Larkin & Millie Izora (Adair) Pendley and attended Moss Public Schools. She married the love of her life, Harmon L. Blaylock May 17, 1942 in Calvin, Ok. She often spoke of how they met and that the minute she laid eyes on him, she said, "I'm going to marry that man." She was married for over 55 years until his death March 6, 1997.

Freeda worked as care-giver for First Methodist Church and First Baptist Church for many years. She loved taking care of little children. She also enjoyed homemaking and reading the Bible. She was actively involved in her church.

Freeda was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and five sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Hack & husband Alvin, of Duncan, Ok; son, Steve Blaylock & wife Barbara, of Duncan, Ok; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, who will miss her very much.
