Samuel W. Allison, 64, a resident of Kansas for forty-four years, died Sunday evening in a hospital in Parsons, Kan. Mr. Allison was a farmer and had lived for many years on a farm near Dexter where he was held in very high esteem in the community. He was born in Iroquois county, Illinois, November 29, 1861. When a small boy with his parents he moved to Indiana and in 1881 they came to Kansas. February 6, 1898 he was married to Nettie Stowe, of Dexter, whom with two daughters and one son survive.
Besides the wife are Mrs. Bernice Bliss and Miss Eunice Allison of St. Louis and Omer W. Allison of Tulsa, Okla. Six brothers, J.M. of Ponca City; W.M., of Goodman, Mo.; J.A., of Gillette, Wyo., A.P., of Weston, Wyo., C.P., of Marmath, North Dakota and R.B., of Pierceton, Ind. One sister, Miss Emma Allison, of Leesburg, Ind., and one half-sister, Chleo Allison of Paris, Ill.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in this city with the Rev. J.M. McClelland officiating in the absence of the pastor Rev. W.C. Templeton. Burial will be at Dexter.
