Mike Leggett, age 58, passed away January 08th, 2013 at home. Visitation will be held Monday, January 14th, 2013 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Lakewood Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held in the chapel of Lakewood Funeral Home at 7:00pm on Monday, January 14th, 2013.
Mike was born June 13, 1954 in Chardon, Ohio and had been living in Jackson over 40 years. Mike worked maintenance in parks and recreation for the City of Jackson. He enjoyed motorcycles, horseshoes, family and friends, children and grandchildren, as well as hunting and fishing. Mike was of the Catholic faith.
Mike leaves behind his mother, Claire D. Befort of Byram; wife, Gail B. Leggett of Pearl; son, Blaise Leggett (Jackie) of Richland; daughter, Amanda Dalton (Paul) of Clinton; brothers Joe Leggett of Clinton and Scott Leggett of Plano, TX; sister Valerie Wilbanks of Byram; grandchildren, Mackenzie & Kennedy Leggett and Brayden & Alexander Dalton. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Leggett.
