Mac L. Hurley, 76, of Carlisle, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

He was born July 31, 1927, in Bloserville, to the late Elliot and Carrie (Armolt) Hurley.

He was a 1943 graduate of Carlisle High School and was a World War II veteran who served in the Navy and the Navy Reserve.

Mr. Hurley was a supervisor specialist at the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot for 38 years until his retirement in 1982.

He formerly attended Community Baptist Church in Carlisle, was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 373, and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and NASCAR.

Mr. Hurley is survived by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn (Arbegast) Hurley; a son, Michael L. Hurley of Carlisle; a brother, Marshall Hurley of Newville; a sister, Almeda Dunlap of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Berneita Baughman.

Private services will be at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Carol J. Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
