Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado) Oct 21, 1921

Arms-Hawkins Wedding
Married at Berlin Center, near Youngstown, Ohio, Saturday evening, October 8th, 1921, Mr. Samuel Dwight Arms, Jr., of Fairport N. Y., and Miss Carol Vivian Hawkins of Berlin Center. The officiating ministers were Rev W. O. Thompson of Columbus, Ohio, and Rev. A. C. Whitmore of Chardon, Ohio.
The above notice may be of interest of a few citizens of Longmont because the groom, as mentioned above is the son of Professor S. Dwight Arms, formerly professor of Latin the Longmont College. It was my pleasure to marry Professor Arms to Miss Adda Hunter, June 21, 1887, in the residence of the late W. B. Wiswall. The Reverend A. C. Whitmore, who participated in the marriage of Mr. Laure E. Hawkins and Miss Mary O'Neil, father of the bride, also participated in this ceremony. It was an unusual double wedding. The bridegroom is a graduate of Colgate University, New York and the bride is a graduate of Syracuse University.
This little note is written in the belief that perhaps a few of the older residents of Longmont will be interested in the announcement.

Per the Longmont Ledger dated March 14, 1890 Samuel had a daughter and in the Longmont Ledger dated Sept 11, 1891 he had a son.

He was an educator and inspector of schools under the State Board of Regents
