Ruth H. Downing, age 87, of Fairmount, IN, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, February 7, 2010 . Ruth was a homemaker. She as a member of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors and had an extensive collection of plate clocks. Ruth was an IU Basketball fan and loved her cats.
She was the daughter of the late Carl Hines and the late Nina (Croxton) Hines. She was born on November 25, 1922 in Anderson, Indiana. She married Robert L. Downing on November 11, 1945. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1981.

Main St., Fairmount, IN Visitation is Friday, February 12, 2010 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home with the Funeral Service immediately following at 6 PM with the Rev. Todd Graham officiating. Graveside service will be at Mechanicsburg Cemetery at 10 AM on Saturday, Feb 13, 2010.
