Homer and wife Lillian M. resided at 14 N. Wisconsin St., Janesville, when Homer died in 1962. Homer was the son of Thomas & Tammie (Opie) Day. Thomas and sons moved to Janesville a few years after Tammie died. Homer and Lillian were married, 6 Aug 1913 in Rockford, Winnebago Co., IL. Homer was employed for 27 years, first at Fisher Body Plant and then Chevrolet Plant. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley but was survived by brother Wilmer T. Day of Janesville and two nephews, Wayne and Robert Day, and a niece, Mrs. Harry Knopes, all of Janesville as of January 22nd, 1962.
Homer's widow, Lillian, lived in the same duplex where I lived as a pre-schooler at 321 N. Parker Dr., Janesville. My mother and Jackson Grandparents, like Homer, were also from Mineral Point. Wonder if my Mother and Lillian had shared that info with each other. Lillian often watched over me. If anyone has a photo of Lillian or Lillian & Homer that they would share with me, I'd be very grateful to hear from them.
