LEWISTOWN - Connie Aitkins, 52, of Lewistown, died at 12:32 a.m. Jan. 19, 2013, at Pinnacle Health Hospital. Born on Oct. 10, 1960, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of Patricia L. (Galbreath) Aitkins and the late Robert W. Aitkins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Aitkins Jr. She is also survived by: her companion, Ken Forshey; stepchildren, Tammy Authier and husband, Randy, of Delaware, and Kammy Shank and husband, Kevin, of Elizabethtown; siblings, Deborah Platzer and husband, Alan, Linda Wheeler and husband, Tom, both of Lewistown, Phyllis Robinson and husband, Jim, of Duncannon, Roberta Armstrong and husband, Charles, of Yeagertown, and Shirley Forshey and husband, Jerry, of Lewistown; six grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Connie was a 1978 graduate of Chief Logan High School and a 2005 graduate of nursing school. She worked at Lear Corp., then as an LPN at Golden LivingCenter; and attended Vira Methodist Church. Early in life, she enjoyed going hunting with her dad and more recently, spending time with her grandchildren and going to car shows with Ken. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. Steve Swigart officiating. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Birch Hill Cemetery.
