She was born November 29, 1914, in Lawndale Township, Illinois, a daughter of John Henry and Anna Elizabeth Peterson Miller. She married Francis H. Harms on November. 29, 1941, in Forrest, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Norma J. (Richard) Vanderbosch, Janice L. (Robert F.) White and Lisa (Joseph) Harms Hartzler, one son, Harvey J. (Candace) Harms, nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Henry J. Miller, one sister, Anna Hilgemann, one infant sister, Adelaide Miller and one grandson, Brian Vanderbosch.
Mrs. Harms was a homemaker and before moving to Fairbury in 1984 had farmed with her husband in Lawndale Township for 41 years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury; Merry Makers Club, Sunbeam Circle and the Wednesday Morning Bible Study.
